Over the years we've been in business, going way back to a kitchen in the Castro in 2003, we've made many changes, but the articles, mentions and and blog posts have always been great! In 2018, as we began producing more varieties of delicious products we went back to our roots and the name CheeseQuakes!
We emerged from 1 basic product to several, introducing our CheeseQuake Shakes, Just the Crust, Tremors and savory flavors that people kept asking for, our Seismic Savories. Our flavors have rotated, our variety has increased, and our commitment to making the best tasting, locally produced CheeseQuakes! remains the same.

In 2019 we opened our second retail location in the famed Gourmet Ghetto neighborhood of Berkeley at 1511 Shattuck, the Epicurious Garden. Epicurious Garden is a unique building and shares the same vision as the famous Greek philosopher Epiciurious to pursue pleasure and happiness around food and gardens. An old theater that was redesigned to house gourmet take out with a fabulous back garden/patio, our neighbors include Lush Gelato, Guacamole 61, Kirala2, Soops, Imperial Tea and Tigerlily. All of these are delicious (we ate all of them while setting up!) and we encourage you to visit us in this wonderful location.
This neighborhood is the birthplace of Peet's Coffee and Chez Panisse as well as The Cheese Board. The well known wine shops Vintage Berkeley, Kermit Lynch and North Berkeley Wine are also near by.

In November of 2016 we opened our first retail location in the historic San Francisco Ferry Building. Since it's restoration and re-opening in 2003, the Ferry Building has become a center for great Bay Area food producers and farmers markets. It is frequented by both locals and tourist alike. We are extremely proud to be a part of this community and encourage you to return, and visit if you have not already!

Our first incarnation was from 2003 to 2010, after which followed a brief hiatus until reopening in 2012. During that time we experimented a lot, learned a lot and met a lot of great people. We had some great times and made some great products that we later refined into simpler, more approachable yet still insanely delicious CheeseQuakes!
